It’s a free messaging service from the Met (London Metropolitan Police) where you can get crime alerts, safety advice, news from your local policing team, updates about incidents, and invites to community meetings. 

How to Sign Up

1. Go to the Met Engage website: https://metengage.co.uk/

2. On the homepage, click “Sign up now”. 

3. Fill in your details: you’ll probably need your email and postcode (so they can send relevant local updates). 

4. Choose your preferences via the survey: select which types of alerts you want to receive (crime updates, safety advice, etc.) and what area you live in. 

5. Confirm your email: after signing up, you should get a verification email. Click the link in that to activate your account. 

6. (Optional) You can update your preferences later to change what alerts you receive.
